The Dutch company is trading in the Spalding area as a flower business, but is set to change its name to Zyon UK, aiming to supply multiple customers such as supermarkets, DIY and garden centres with traded plants.
Plants come from Zyon's parent company in Holland and will cover indoor, garden and "added value" varieties. Egerton is currently writing a business plan.
"We are small, but we are flexible and want to build a healthy, profitable business in the UK," said Zyon chief executive Leon Eigenraam-Ram. He set up the company in Holland seven years ago and said he believed it is now mature enough to expand. "The economy is not ideal, but you can't wait forever."
