Writtle College honours Liz Lake

Writtle College has awarded an honorary doctorate degree to landscape architect Liz Lake.

Lake received her award during the Writtle School of Design graduation ceremony at Chelmsford Cathedral earlier this month.

As well as being a chartered landscape architect and Fellow of the Landscape Institute, Lake is also an adviser to Writtle's recently accredited postgraduate landscape architecture course.

She said: "I would like to thank the college for recognising my achievements. Having lived in Essex for most of my life, it feels very special to be honoured by my local college. It has been a privilege to be part of the growth of the landscape architecture courses at Writtle. I hope my association with the college will continue for many years."

Head of the Writtle School of Design Jeff Logsdon said: "Liz has been engaged in the postgraduate landscape architecture programme since the beginning and has always provided insightful direction and support for the college."
