The company, which has around 200 employees and a UK base in Worcester, has been in negotiations with potential buyers all week.
A company representative said today (29 January):
"Head office in Germany has declared that there is a buyer for the company but they will not announce a name until contracts have been signed and it is 100% finalised."
An announcement is expected later today or tomorrow (30 January).
Wolf-Garten was established in 1922 and supplies garden tools and equipment to 35 countries internationally.
