What's on offer at IOG SALTEX 2009

IOG SALTEX is the UK's only outdoor event for the grounds care, sports, amenities, landscaping and estate management sector, and this year more than 400 companies are taking part, including familiar names such as Toro, John Deere, Kubota and Hayter.

There is a tremendous number of new products. Ransomes Jacobsen is one company to continue to invest, despite the economic downturn. Managing director David Withers said: "Our new mower for the municipal sector will be a surprise to many and this will be followed early in 2010 by other new products for the golf sector. Our environmental commitments remain strong and our actions over the past three years are showing significant payback in these austere times."

IOG SALTEX is also the number-one event where all involved in the outdoor environment can keep up to date with the industry essentials. This year's programme of seminars covers topics such as sports facilities, tree protection and children's play.

As well as keeping you "genned" up, IOG SALTEX gives you the chance to skill up. The Sports Turf Skills Village demonstrations are a popular attraction and this year include synthetic pitch maintenance.

There are plenty of other attractions too. In the World of Arb there are climbing demonstrations. And IOG SALTEX is again hosting the finals of the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening competition, with four teams competing to build a garden during the show.
