Westlands Farm

Westlands is a mixed family farm, situated in southern Hampshire. Up until 2017, it had traditional livestock enterprises that supply its own Farm Shop and cafe, together with an arable farming business that consisted of a mixture of owned land and contract farming arrangements. The business is managed on a daily basis by the Collett family - Dad Stephen, Mum Ollie and Son Graham with his wife Kayleigh.

The Family were looking to develop the business whilst using existing resources in the most efficient way. Soft fruit, specifically strawberries and raspberries were a natural fit for the farm.

Whilst the majority of production would be for sale through major retailers via Berry Gardens, Westland's own busy Farm Shop and cafe is a hub for the local community and would also benefit from having great quality local fruit produced from the farm. This also ties in perfectly with the business' values of producing and selling fantastic quality food.

The Westland team set themselves a challenge in 2017 to harvest their first crop of premium strawberries and raspberries in just six months! They succeeded and supplied several customers, including major supermarkets in their first season.
