We're looking to cut back on grass seed purchase next season due to cost. Rather than overseeding all the greens of our pitch-and-putt course, we will just repair the worst of the bare patches. What is the best equipment available for sowing small amounts of seed? Our course is at a holiday centre on the coast.

The forecast of higher seed prices is worrying for a lot of turf managers and, sadly, I have heard several say they may be forced to cut back on overseeding because of tight budgets.
