IoG Performance Quality Standards (PQS) are widely used for cricket grounds, and determine pitch quality against British benchmark standards of physical structure, presentation and playing quality and performance.
The results will be presented at a conference session focusing on the lessons learned by ‘Switching from Cricket to Football’.
One of the issues being addressed at the conference is how groundsmen can maintain first-class surfaces in multi-use stadia, and a panel debate with speakers including Chris Hague from Parken Stadium, Denmark, and Dean Gilasbey from Llanelli Scarlets, will address the issue.
Various drop-in clinics focusing on pests and diseases, risks in the workplace, training & education and funding & facilities will take place throughout the day.
The conference will take place on November 25 at the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff.
