The re-boot includes a new logo and new Twitter handle @wearemitie, changing from the more formal @MITIE_Group_PLC.

One of the UK’s corporate success stories, the FTSE 250 company has grown earnings and dividends for 26 consecutive years, generating revenues in excess of £2bn, and employing over 70,000 people.

Mitie Landscapes was launched in 2002 and grew more than 30 per cent between 2010 and 2012. Clients include Vodafone and Lloyds Banking Group but new managing director Tim Howell recently revealed he is making a push into the local authority market.

In recent years Mitie has repositioned its business to focus on becoming an integrated facilities management provider and has expanded into the homecare market.

Chief executive Ruby McGregor-Smith said: "I am really excited that we have reinvigorated the Mitie brand to better reflect who we are as a business, both visually and culturally, for our people and our clients. Now is the perfect time for us to re-visit our image as we continue to grow significantly, in some really exciting new areas."
