Vital Earth launches RSPB-backed peat-free compost at Glee

The RSPB said linking with Vital Earth for a branded peat-free compost was a "very good fit".

The new product will retail at £5.99 for 50 litres.

The 1m member RSPB has been a long-time campaigner for peat-free composts.

Vital Earth also launched Growise Hanging growing Bag at £2.99, a peat-based compost from Bord na Mona and originally launched in the Irish market.

Growise MPC with John Innes is now also in a 20 litre bale.

Vital Earth MD Steve Harper said the link with Bord na Mona to distribute peat-based composts alongside Vital Earth's peat-free range had increased distribution for Vital Earth across the UK, from garden cehtres looking for a 'one-stop shop'.
