"Catering is big business in UK garden centres," said a show spokesman. "This trend shows no sign of abating."
The new zone will include a kitchen area to offer hands-on demonstrations of key equipment and host cooking competitions. Meanwhile, seminars will touch on trends, finance, staffing, design, planning, installation and specification tips.
Siobhan Teader, marketing manager at zone sponsor Vision Commercial Kitchen, said: "Last year, we transformed more than 26 garden centres. A catering zone can increase footfall and boost turnover by nearly a third in two years."
