UPM Tilhill and Savills launch Forest Market Report

An annual snapshot of the UK commercial forestry market will be launched today (12 November) in the Forest Market Report.

The Forest Market Report — produced by UPM Tilhill and Savills — will share figures on trends in forestry.

The 2009/10 report will explain how forestry has bucked recessionary trends to continue to provide a safe haven for investors.

Last year's Forest Market Report 2008/9 showed biomass was a growing market for woodland owners.

Tourist and leisure development was also a significant source of income in some woodlands.
