UK leads online fruit and vegetable buying

British consumers are more likely than their Dutch and German counterparts to buy fruit and vegetables online, according to research by the Dutch Production Board for Horticulture.

Around 14 per cent of UK consumers have bought fresh produce online, mainly through major supermarkets' websites. German and British consumers are also more open to buying produce through click-and-collect schemes than their Dutch counterparts, it found.
