Trimax Mowing Systems offers 3-year warranty

Trimax Mowing Systems is sharpening its elbows in the fight for new customers by offering a 3-year mechanical warranty that will not be beaten, it reckons.

The standard warranty on new rotary and flail kit covers mowers in full-time commercial use. It was previously limited to one year, with 2 years on certain components.

Marketing Manager Tim Fanning said the offer was unlikely to be followed by other mower manufacturers.

"We have total confidence in every machine that comes out of the factory. That's an easy thing to say, but to back it up with warranty is quite a different matter".

Fanning has also suggested that most councils and mowing contractors are looking more carefully at the ongoing cost of their machinery, not just the initial price tag.

"Our product is not the cheapest to buy, but if you consider life cost, repairs, maintenance and downtime, the value is easy to see".
