Tree professionals urged to apply for travel bursaries

Royal Forestry Society is inviting applications for travel bursaries to help tree professionals improve their knowledge.

Cash from the Randle Travel Fund pays for all or part of travel and subsistence in the UK and abroad for independent learning-based projects or study tours.
Over the past 10 years, 17 people have won bursaries to visit a conference in Canada, tour Turkey and travel to the UN in Geneva.
Chief executive Dr John Jackson said: "The bursaries have encouraged people to do projects in woods and forests around the world and share their experiences."
Bursaries are usually worth between £300 and £600, and applicants must submit an article on their experiences. There are no age restrictions.
The deadline is 11 March. Visit or phone 01442 822028.
