Tree-planting ceremony among the events held to celebrate Hillier's 150th anniversary

Hillier Nurseries & Garden Centres marked the company's 150th anniversary last week with a celebration luncheon held at Jermyn's House and a tree-planting ceremony in the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.

Among the 130 guests were leading figures from horticulture, Hillier directors past and present, the team from the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and members of the Hillier family.

Flanked by chairman Robert Hillier and president John Hillier, Hampshire Lord-Lieutenant Dame Mary Fagan planted a Quercus frainetto 'Hungarian Crown' in Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
