Top 70 UK Ornamentals Nurseries boast a combined turnover of more than £800m

This year's exclusive Horticulture Week analysis of the top players in the UK ornamental industry follows a roller coaster year for much of the sector thanks to spring's "Beast from the East" followed by an exceptionally dry summer.

Now expanded to cover 70 of the largest ornamentals growers in the UK, the latest analysis reveals a combined turnover of more than £800m for all 70 businesses in our list.

The biggest players offer a range of plants to the market, with many aiming to be one-stop shops for garden retailers large and small.

The top 10 are worth £413m, more than half the total for the top 70.
