Latest figures for the 12th annual and expanded HortWeek Top 200 Garden Centres show the uplift caused by the pandemic in 2021.
Many centres saw millions of pounds of extra turnover as the sector enjoyed a huge influx of new gardeners.
Numbers bounced back for top performers above the lockdown levels after being hit by closure in spring 2020 and prolonged catering restrictions.
