Tommy Walsh to launch new Dansand product at Glee

Former Ground Force TV presenter Tommy Walsh is to visit Glee to launch Tommy Walsh's Choice Dansand Joint Filling Sand.

The product is a new joint sand that prevents weeds from growing in newly laid or renovated block paving, patios and driveways, without using environmentally harmful herbicides.

Tommy Walsh will be on the stand on 21 September from 11.30am to 4.30pm.

Walsh said: "This sand is going to make a real difference to building professionals and DIY-ers who want an eco-friendly, low-maintenance and affordable way to finish patios and driveways. It will be produced in the UK by a British workforce using the patented Danish technology."

Tommy Walsh will also launch Dansand point-of-sale displays and the Tommy Walsh and Dansand Joint Filling Sand DVD, which contains tips for installation, renovation and maintenance of permeable block paving. This will be available for retailers to use for in-store presentation.

Dansand A/S UK consultant marketing manager Richard Gray said: "Garden and DIY retailers should see a natural uplift in demand for permeable block paving and associated products such as joint filling sand. These will help homeowners comply with the new UK planning permissions that encourage the use of permeable block paving to help alleviate increased flood and subsidence issues."
