Tall trees, produce and pods make the headlines at Chelsea

Six of the headline features at the 2011 show.

1. Showcasing the best of British flowers, plants and produce, the NFU won its 15th consecutive Gold Medal, this time with backing from Waitrose.

2. Hillier won a record 66th Gold Medal with its Feel Good About Gardening exhibit.

3. Diarmuid Gavin was the headline maker of the show with his 18m-high Irish Sky garden pod.

4. B&Q's 9m-high record-breaking structure designed by Chetwood and Collins also hit the headlines for taking grow your own to new heights.

5. Leeds City Council's 11m-high Thujas from Majestic Trees helped it win a Gold.

6. The Sun's Generation Gardens brought 50 schools together with designers DeakinLock, Geoff Whiten and Val Christman. Sponsors included Scotts Miracle Gro and John Woods Nurseries.
