The MycoForce range has been improved to simplify and reduce the cost of product application to bare root whips, containerised and root balled transplants, Symbio said.
Symbio estimates application of Mycoforce costs less than 1 pence per whip or small container.
Un-treated transplanted trees run the risk of no growth within the first one to two years as they struggle to form a symbiotic relationship with mycorrhizal fungi. Products such as Symbio’s MycoForce work to extend the tree’s root system and enhance the chances of symbiosis, according to Symbio.
A Symbio representative said: "Alongside water and fertiliser, MycoForce mycorrhizal inoculants act as the first line of defence to protect newly transplanted trees against lack of nutrients, drought and salt stress."
The range is available to buy direct from Symbio’s website.
