Suttons Seeds have been working in support of the Dartmoor village of Northlew in Devon, who lost proportionally more of their enlisted men in WW1 than any other town or village in the UK.

Suttons donated the seeds to help Northlew create the longest poppy avenue in the world and are also donating a Canadian Red Oak tree that will turn red each autumn in time for Remembrance day.

On 28 June Northlew is hosting a memorial evening event, where managing director Bernard Bejar will plant the Canadian Red Oak tree and hand over a cheque for the donation raised by sales of the Northlew Poppy Seeds

There will be a biplane flyover by an SE5 made in 1917, followed by readings and a parade.
