Supplier invests in allium processing

Grower and supplier Fresh Approach Produce has said it plans a sixfold increase in investment in its vegetable packing and processing facilities, including a new allium packing plant.

Sales and marketing director Simon Martin said: "Onions have been one of our most successful growth areas in the past two years, which has given us both the confidence and requirement for additional investment."

The development follows a new £250,000 leek packing facility last year. "There are still opportunities for growth in the sector by investing in the right areas," said Martin.
