Stagecraft fits clothing sections for Garden Centre Group

The Garden Centre Group (GCG) is opening its own clothing sections at 14 stores.

Display unit supplier Stagecraft is installing clothing shopfitting benching at GCG outlets including Bridgemere, according to owner Tom Davis.

UK projects are underway at Haskins West End and Haskins Roundstone, which will complete in January or February, he said.

The company is also installing tables for Notcutts and slat walls for Frosts, to be ready by Christmas.

Meanwhile, at Wurzel in Wisbech, Stagecraft is working on a farm shop/garden centre/cafe hybrid.

Davis added that he was horrified by the low UK representation at Euroshop.

The shopfitting trade fair was held in Dusseldorf earlier this year for the first time since 2008.

Stagecraft is looking at European sales after attending the spoga+gafa show in Germany this month.
