Solus and RSPB strike distribution deal

Solus Garden & Leisure has announced a distribution deal with the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).

The new partnership will see the inclusion of RSPB Premium Wild Bird Food into the Solus brand portfolio from July 2013.

Solus brand ChapelWood will continue to be offered.

Solus gardening brands head Henry Corbett said: "For a number of years our customers have been asking us to develop a premium end wild bird food to add to our extensive ChapelWood range.

"We have not done so until now, because in our opinion there is only one brand in the market that could fill that void – the RSPB.  With the announcement of this distribution deal our customers will enjoy access to an unrivalled range of top quality wild bird food and accessories, for every budget and every garden."

RSPB representative John Capper said: "We are delighted to have agreed with Solus to distribute the RSPB wild bird care range. This new agreement will ensure that the RSPB brand is widely accessible to the market and enhance RSPB position as the premium wild bird care brand."
