Sherriff Amenity opens Scotland depot

Sherriff Amenity, the amenity division of Agrovista UK, has opened a new depot in Scotland.

Agrovista UK managing director James Robertson said the move was part of a five-year strategic plan to improve the brand.

"We want to have a national amenity business trading under the Sherriff Amenity brand and this is another step towards achieving this goal," he said.

Agrovista UK is one of the leading crop-protection and agronomy companies in the UK, covering arable, fruit and vegetable crop production.

Sherriff Amenity director Mark Pyrah said: "Moving into Scotland increases our presence in the UK amenity arena."

Kenny Archibald joined the company as Scottish sales manager in December. Jackie Fraser has also joined the firm in an administrative role.

The main depot in Glasgow has over 14,000sq m of warehouse space. There will also be an office and satellite store in Edinburgh.
