The £46,000 contract, which runs for a year, includes maintenance at the retailer's head office just outside of Worksop, two distribution depots in Worksop and Wales, and 42 stores across the UK. Shed is also delivering Japanese knotweed treatment, site landscape improvements and arboriculture to the company.
Shed won the grounds maintenance contract after a 12 month procurement process, taking it from another contractor who had held it for 20 years.
Managing director Peter Botham said: "This contract win is the culmination of a year of hard work and a great effort from the Shed team. We are very pleased to see that our commitment to quality and the environment is recognised by companies such as Wilko and welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with them to deliver a high-quality and reliable service."
The contract is one of 26 the Chesterfield-based company says it has won this year, as it celebrates 15 years in business. In addition, existing clients Ceva Logistics, Flexspace and Ryden have awarded Shed further sites to add to their current portfolios.
