The 650sq m facility which is an offshoot of groundscare equipment supplier SGM, hosts a range of training facilities, including a dedicated log cabin classroom and an 8m tall metal climbing tree, on which customers can also try climbing kit before they buy.
Training courses on offer range from basic chainsaw operations to advanced climbing, and all are fully accredited using City & Guilds course materials and NPTC assessments, and are delivered by an in-house trainer.
Director Ian Morrison said: "We also have use of three sites between Edinburgh and Glasgow where trees are being cleared anyway to create wildlife habitats."
The centre's showroom meanwhile offers complete range of equipment with expert advice on-hand, and havy machinery can also be hired.
It also has its own in-house fully qualified LOLER inspector to test and certify equipment, while trained engineers will provide servicing and repair.
The centre will host an open week for those interested in its services from 7 October.
