Scotts Miracle-Gro takes garden care innovation prize as Glee awards are announced in full

Scotts Miracle-Gro Patch Magic has won the Garden Care Innovation Award at Glee.

Judges Caroline Owen — managing director of Scotdales Garden Centre — and Lloyd Taylor, gardening buyer at Wilkinson, said: "The Miracle-Gro Patch Magic has fresh, bold packaging that showcases an innovative new product. It is really consumer-focused, with easy-to-understand instructions. The product also offers excellent value for money, plus the consumer guarantee adds confidence in purchase decision."

The Nursery Innovation Award was scooped by John Woods Nurseries for its Coprosma Pacific Sunset.

Judges Mike Burks of Castle Gardens and David Curtis, editor of The Landscaper, said: "The Coprosma offers really extraordinary colours. It's also an evergreen so it offers two points of interest in the same plant. This is a must for all gardens and container planting."

Other awards went to:

  • Garden Machinery Handy Distribution for the Garden Barber
The judges said: "This product really stood out. It's a simple design that will make trimming hedges even easier."
