Sales in Dobbies garden centres rise by more than 12% according to latest figures

Sales in Tesco-owned Dobbies garden centres have risen by more than 12 per cent since last year, according to the latest figures. Tesco is pushing on with plans to accelerate the expansion of the Dobbies business towards a national network of garden centres. Two new stores have opened at Sandyholm and Southport, and six new sites are awaiting planning consent. Tesco announced that its first half group sales were up 14.1 per cent, pushing figures to £28.1bn. Meanwhile, Dobbies is doubling the size of its Lasswade headquarters.
