Hampshire garden centre hybrid Rosebourne will open on 19 October after being slightly delayed by traffic lights installation.

Industry veterans Jon Kitching, Neville Prest, Salim Sajid, David Brown,  Hugh Jackson and Charles Good are behind the venture. Kitching and Brown founded Beckworth Emporium in Northamptonshire, which has a model similar to Rosebourne.

The purpose built Rosebourne centre, on the site of the old Weyhill Nursery near Thruxton, focuses on four areas: excellent dining experience with table service; fresh locally sourced produce; quality gifts; traditional plants.

The group are seeking more sites for new centres south of Birmingham.
