RHS kicks off national gardening week with careers and wildlife push

Sowing wildflowers to "make Britain beautiful and buzz with wildlife throughout the summer" and promoting the breadth of horticultural careers, and the impact they have on the economy and environment, are the key themes for the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) during this week's National Gardening Week.

Events and talks themed around wildflowers and horticultural careers will be taking place at all four RHS Gardens.

Communities and organisations are also hosting garden open days, garden parties, quizzes, plant swaps and a wealth of other activities to share advice or lend helping hands to friends, neighbours and the local community.
