Wilson’s private clients have commissioned a contemporary garden for the 2.5 acre site, which drops to temperatures of -25C in winter.
“The real challenge is the pallet of plants we can use because they have to be real stalwarts,” revealed Wilson.
“I’m trying to use grassy perennials which will work well in the climate.”
Wilson added that he planned to retain as much of the pine woodland as possible, and the design included the use of illuminated concrete walls.
“The lit walls will slice through the woodland so they will glow in the snow,” Wilson said.
