RHS head of shows development Bob Sweet said the organisation is looking at the viability of the existing shows in London. The society has found that moving shows to other venues can treble or quadruple attendance figures.
The RHS has also revealed the 2008 Chelsea show on 20-24 May will host 21 show gardens. Stars will include Arabella Lennox-Boyd with a garden for The Daily Telegraph, Christopher Bradley-Hole with a design for Spink Property, Tom Stuart Smith, Andy Sturgeon, Diarmuid Gavin, Cleve West, Robert Myers and Sarah Price. Designer Tomaso will create an organic agrarian garden for Daylesford Organic.
