Retired Pershore College lecturer presented with award

Retired Pershore College lecturer and nursery-man Bob Hares was presented with the IPPS's Robert Garner Award by IPPS Great Britain and Ireland president Bernard Brennan for his propagation skills and encouragement of young horticulturists.

Former IPPS president Margaret Sheward said: "He has an outstanding plant knowledge borne with great affability and modesty." Brennan also presented the Rosebowl to Claire Shaddick for her work as Great Britain and Ireland secretary. The award is given to the person who has best exemplified the IPPS motto of "seek and share".
