Reigate's Priory Park opens new tree trail

Priory Park in Reigate has opened a new tree trail encouraging visitors to explore different species.

A new tree trail around Priory Park in Reigate has been created to help visitors discover the park's unusual and rare trees.

The trail takes in 25 different trees, which are numbered, and is accompanied by a free leaflet containing a map and descriptions, and facts about each tree.

Cllr Adam De Save, Executive Member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: "We are lucky that Priory Park boasts an impressive range of tree specimens.  We hope that the new tree trail will raise the profile of trees as well as being enjoyable and informative to do.  We also hope that visitors will repeat the walk in spring, summer, autumn and winter and really get to know the different trees and how they change with the seasons."
