Each implement is equipped with a long-life pointed carbide-toothed rotor that pulverises the soil and separates it from the debris. A fold-down end plate allows the machine to bulk-move material around the plot. Raking and windrowing soil and debris is completed by the hydraulic angling rotor while adjustable castor wheels give depth control. Optional laser kits are available for accurate levelling and raking.
BLEC also offers the Blecavator Vibra-Screen Stoneburier, adding a vibrating soil screener to the process to ensure that soil is sifted before the stone burier goes into action.
A useful tool for accurate levelling is the ZipLevel high-precision survey level and altimeter. This machine is made for landscapers and is available from Grounds Care Products of Tadley, Hampshire. It is easier to carry, set up and use than a laser or automatic level and is truly a one-man device. It shows results on a digital display - no maths needed - and is precise to 0.2mm.
