The Green Flag Awards are presented annually to parks, cemeteries, shopping centres and community gardens across the UK that have been judged against criteria including horticultural standards, cleanliness, sustainability and community involvement.
Long-standing Quadron client the London Borough of Southwark now boasts 23 Green Flag accredited green spaces, following four new awards for King’s Stairs Gardens, Nunhead Green, Salisbury Row Park and Goose Green & Playground.
This is the second highest number of Green Flags held by any local authority in England, according to Quadron.
Quadron managing director Clive Ivil said: "I am delighted that sixty-nine of the sites Quadron maintains have been judged as fit to fly the Green Flag. These results have been achieved by working in partnership with our clients and local communities to enhance their parks and open spaces. Well done to all our grounds maintenance teams for delivering consistently high standards and participating in projects to promote the use of our clients’ parks".
