Public realm improvements planned for Aldgate in the City of London

The City of London Corporation is consulting with the public on proposals to create two new public spaces at the Aldgate Gyratory in London.

The public realm improvements would include planting trees, pedestrian and cycling facilities, a kiosk with public toilets, new seating and lighting and a space for events and play activities.

The Corporation is working with neighbouring authority the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Transport for London in developing the proposals, which have been informed by The Mayor of London’s Cycling Vision and Transport for London’s Better Junctions programmes.

The corporation is holding an exhibition regarding the plans at the St Botolph Building lobby until 7 August. For more information visit www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/aldgatearea.
