Promotional drive boosts Acer Landscaping sales figures

Sales at Acer Paving & Landscaping have risen by 43 per cent against last year.

Owner of the Swindon-based company Gary Cobb said a promotional push on artificial grass products resulted in contracts for pubs, schools, nurseries and lawns.

He also credited membership of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) for helping the business to improve.

"The vetting process for membership of the APL was very thorough and I felt it encouraged us to take our company to a higher level of professionalism," he said.

Cobb added the internet had enabled the firm to broaden its coverage.

Acer had extended into surrounding counties and been accepted on to Swindon Trading Standards' Buy with Confidence Scheme, he said.
