Pot distributor Mondian bought out

Pot manufacturer Deroma has bought Cirencester-based pot distributor, Mondian for an undisclosed sum.

The Mondian brand of indoor and outdoor pots will continue to be distributed.

Five staff members will be incorporated into the Deroma team in their existing roles, bringing the total Deroma headcount to 49.

Deroma managing director Frederic Arbaud said:

"The acquisition of Mondian puts us in a very strong place as we start the new year, confirming our position as the leading supplier of indoor and outdoor pots in the UK. We have ambitious business plans for Deroma and I am looking forward to progressing these further."

Managing director of Mondian, David Aspin, and silent partner, Charles Fry have both retired.

Deroma designs and manufactures pots for the garden and home. The Deroma Group started in 1955 and has a consolidated turnover of 100 million euros and around 2,000 employees working in five manufacturing units in Italy, the United States and China. The head offices are in Malo, in the province of Vicenza.
