Play England and Play Safety Forum launches new guidance

Play England, the Department for Children, Schools & Families (DCSF) and the Play Safety Forum have launched new guidance for play providers and designers, Managing Risk in Play Provision: Implementation Guide, published on 22 January.

Play England director Adrian Voce said: "This guide promotes and describes a new approach to risk management that values the benefits of children being able to manage some risks for themselves. It should enable stimulating and adventurous play environments where children can test themselves without being exposed to unacceptable risks." See www.playengland.co.uk/resources.
