The number of foreign trade visitors to Plantarium 2013 last week was six per cent higher than 2012, organisers have said.
Some 23 per cent of the commercial trade visitors came from abroad. The largest percentage of trade visitors came from Germany (22 per cent), followed by Belgium (18 per cent), with France in third place (11 per cent).
A total of 48 countries were registered. After Germany, Belgium and France, the United Kingdom followed in fourth place (9 per cent ), with Italy in fifth place (8 per cent) and Denmark, the United States and Poland in sixth place (all 5 per cent).
A total of 106 plants were judged at the new plant awards.
The analysis of the trade visitors also revealed that Plantarium 2013 was mainly visited by company owners (48 per cent), followed by staff (40 per cent) and buyers (12 per cent).
