Roberts Park, in Saltaire Village, is set to undergo a major facelift following four years of planning and consultation. Final plans for the park went on display last week so local residents could view the changes that will take place as part of the project.
The restoration of the Victorian park, created in the 1870s, has been planned by environmental construction firm Casey, historic landscape consultantcy Hilary Taylor Landscape Architects (HTLA), Bradford Council and local community organisations.
HTLA landscape architect Erika Diaz Petersen has been working on the scheme and said work was expected to begin next month.
A lodge, pavilion and three shelters will be restored in the scheme, partly funded by a Heritage Lottery Fund Parks for People grant of £3.2m.
