Food & Environment Research Agency officials have destroyed a consignment of Erysimum Sp. from Israel found to be infected with Aleyrodidae. The plants were intercepted at Heathrow Airport earlier this month.
Rhododendron outbreaks in Scotland and Northumberland
Two outbreaks of Phytophthora ramorum were recorded in September, one in Scotland and one in Northumberland. The first involved plants grown in the UK, and these were destroyed; the other involved plants grown in the UK and Germany, and the action taken is not recorded.

Helianthemum infected with Bemisia tabaci and grown in the UK were part-destroyed and part-treated in Lancashire in September.
Camelia treated in Norfolk for pink tea mite
A consignment of Camelia grown in the UK was treated in Norfolk last month to eradicate Acaphylla theae.
