Pesticide residues detected

Nearly half of Canada's organic fresh fruit and vegetables contain pesticide residue, according to Canadian Food Inspection Agency data.

Nearly two per cent violated maximum residue levels for some pesticides, the agency discovered. The produce was sampled between September 2011 and September 2013.
