This follows a further outbreak where both P. ramorum and P. Kernoviae were identified on rhododendron on 29 July.

In addition, Rhododendron ponticum plants were destroyed following two outbreaks in Scotland on 22 August.

The outbreaks follow a decision by the Forestry Commission Scotland to embark on a 15-year project to eradicate rhododendron from its 660ha national forest.
