Corporate partnership manager Phil Swainston and representatives from Perennial’s Services team will be on hand on stand E251 to meet all visitors to the show, held at Four Oaks Nurseries, Lower Withington, 6-7 September 2022. He will share the latest news from Perennial and explain how Perennial services have developed over the last couple of covid interrupted years.
Head of casework Helen Waddington will be taking part in the workshop with Sally Drury of HortWeek on key issues facing horticulture workers: “Through our Horticulture Health and Wellbeing Survey (2021), Labour Market Research (2021) and Wellbeing kiosk results we are building a picture of the health and wellbeing of the industry. The critical issues identified are mental wellbeing, back and joint pain, debt and financial pressures, these issues mirror the issues identified when someone contacts Perennial for advice.
We are now providing additional services in respect of these arears and are working to increase further support and advice.”
Christina Walker of Four Oaks said: “We’re delighted to welcome Perennial back to Four Oaks to celebrate the 50th anniversary with us all. It’s been a rollercoaster ride for so many in the industry since we last had
an event and the Perennial team has been of crucial support throughout – we’re proud to support their work. Having the Perennial head of casework participating in a session on September 7 offers an excellent opportunity for visitors to seek answers to questions that affect them and the working lives of so many in horticulture. We’ll be inviting pre-submitted questions online nearer the time.”
