The council has spent £18,000 on a new development at the Rainham Recreation Ground. The playground, which was opened last week, is aimed at older people who wish to remain active.
The playground contains seven pieces of equipment supplied and fitted by Wicksteed. These include a body twister, a leg press, two skiers, two cross-trainers and an arm exerciser. The money for the playground was supplied by the local authority, via its ward development fund.
