The plants are part-grown in heated glasshouses and delivered in February to be grown on for another four-to-five weeks. Pentland Plants owner David Spray said the biomass heating system at the nursery has made it possible to offer the range.
"We've had a lot of interest and we are taking orders," he said. "Getting stuff in flower for April is very difficult. We've got biomass heating so it's not costing us a fortune."
The plants are available in week eight-to-10 next year, with a minimum order of one full trolley per delivery drop.
Dianthus Oscar, Geranium Moonlight, Nemesia Maritana and Ranunculus Magic come in 10cm pots, while Anemone Harmony is in one-litre pots. Osteospermum are available in both sizes. Prices are 50-80p per pot.
