Specialist property consultancy Gilbert Evans handled the sale. Director Mike Gilbert said: "This is a great opportunity for Palmers to establish a large destination garden centre as Ullesthorpe Garden Centre has planning consent to expand up to 36,000 sq ft (3,300 sq m) on a 15-acre (6ha) site."

Ullesthorpe Garden Centre was established 15 years ago by Ian Tallis and has a turnover of under £2m.
